Maybe you've heard about The Big Event on the radio, from a friend, online, on the news, or saw it for yourself and you want to know what is going on. Well, you are at the right place!
Here was the Master Plan for The BIG Event 2010:
Community-wide Thanksgiving Dinner at THOG
Everyone is invited to come share a wonderful Thanksgiving meal with us! We will provide the meats and drinks. All we are asking you to bring is your favorite Thanksgiving side dish or dessert to share (in a disposable container) and your appetite!
The "Lift-Off"
We will have a grand feast celebrating together, then after eating, Pastor Jamie Sanks will "Lift-Off," and will go up into an Action Building that is on a platform 20 feet in the air! Pastor Jamie will stay and live up there, not coming down until one tractor trailer for basic food items, one tractor trailer for specific toys, and one POD unit for cold weather gear for the homeless are filled with donations for those in need in our community at Christmas. That's two tractor trailers and one POD!
While Pastor Jamie is up in the air and we are collecting items, we have planned events for everyone in our community ... family events on the weekends, and Mission: Love & Unity worship nights during the week!
Before distributing the items, we will have a Community-wide Celebration over what God has done and how our community has come together to make a difference!
