How to Be Different - How to Join Us

At the end of each worship service, we give an opportunity for you to respond to what God is doing in your life. In order to become a member of The House of God, you must have professed a personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, be baptized as a believer, and be committed to actively following Jesus Christ in discipleship.

You can become a member of The House of God in one of two ways:
If you are already a Christian who has been baptized by immersion in a way that is consistent with biblical teachings, you may join by a "statement" of your faith or by moving your membership "letter" from another church.

If you have not yet followed Jesus' example in scriptural baptism and you desire to do so, we would encourage you to schedule a meeting with the pastor. He will be happy to share with you about baptism, how you can become a Christian, and how you can become a member of The House of God. Please contact the church office (706) 256-0354, and we can schedule an appointment at your convenience.

We would love to have you join our family at The House of God!  If you have any questions on becoming a member of The House of God, please let us know, and we will be glad to answer them.

BAPTISM

Baptism is a wonderful part of the holy sacraments of the church. John the Baptist baptized Jesus with water and Jesus in Matthew 28 called believers to water baptize new converts in the name of the Father Son and Holy Spirit. Water baptism is the means by which believers are to identify with Christ. This is not just a mere ceremony done by tradition. Our union with Christ is signified by water baptism (Col 2:11, 12) Baptism is usually held on an as needed basis. If you desire to follow Christ in baptism here at The House of God or have questions about baptism, you can contact us at the church office at (706) 256-0354. We are excited that you are considering or have joined with this body of believers as we strive to be the disciples that Jesus has called us to be and witness to all the world of God’s goodness.

NEW MEMBERS / NEW CONVERTS

"With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth; the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness" (Isaiah 26:9). This scripture accurately describes the spiritual relationship and zeal we will encourage you to have with God in this ministry. We are committed to teaching you sound, biblical and practical principles, as well as, providing a context for you to help this ministry build God’s kingdom on earth. “You are a walking, talking, breathing, and living miracle.” You have not been through what you have been through for nothing. God’s desire is to transform the “skeletons” in your past, to a “testimony” of His Grace.
